More of the good words

Send anonymous compliments that feel like good advice

Most people go years without hearing the specific, true thing someone thinks about them. Mo Advice sends it — by email, without your name on it, to someone who could use it this week.

You are the reason things don't fall through

Hello,

There is a kind of work that only gets noticed when it stops, and you have been doing it for a long time without stopping. It is not glamorous and it is not accidental — it is a standard you hold when no one is checking.

Sent anonymously. Someone who knows you chose these words for you.

No sender name. No account needed. One link to stop them at any time.

Anonymous, properly

Not "anonymous unless you look". There is nothing in the email, the headers, or the footer that leads back to you.

Written to be believed

Specific recognition beats generic praise every time. Our messages name a real quality and say why it matters.

Built for morale

One message lifts a day. A month of them changes how someone talks about themselves at work and at home.

How it works

Three steps, about ninety seconds

  1. 1

    Tell us who

Their email address, and their first name if you'd like the message to open with it. That's the entire form.

  2. 2

    Pick the tone

Personal for a friend or family member, professional for someone at work. We write the words — you choose which kind land right.

  3. 3

    They hear something good

One message now for $1, or a different one every morning for $5 a month. Your name is never attached to any of it.

Two tones

The same honesty, aimed differently

Pick the one that fits your relationship with them. Here is a real message from each bank.

Personal

For life

For a friend, a partner, a parent, someone having a hard month.

You are somebody's safe place

There is a person who thinks of you when something goes wrong, before they have thought about what to do. You may never be told that. It is one of the highest things a human being can be to another one.

Professional

For work

For a colleague, a report, a manager, someone carrying a lot at work.

The actual words

Four of the 64, exactly as they arrive

Every message is written and edited by hand. No templates with a name slotted in, nothing generated on the fly — just specific things that are true of someone, said plainly.

Someone is better at their job because of you

Professional
You explained something without making anyone feel small for not knowing it. That person is now doing work they could not have done a year ago, and they carry your patience into how they teach the next person. Very little of what we build outlasts us. That does.

You have already survived what you were sure would break you

Personal
Look back a few years. There was a version of you who could not imagine getting through the thing you have since gotten through. You did it anyway, mostly unimpressively, one ordinary day at a time. That is exactly how you'll get through the next one.

The boring work you did was the important work

Professional
The cleanup, the documentation, the migration nobody wanted — it will never be in a highlight reel. But it removed a problem from other people's futures, and they will never know how close they came to it. Somebody noticed.

Try speaking to yourself the way you speak to your friends

Personal
You extend an enormous amount of patience outward and almost none of it back to yourself. If a friend described your week to you, you would not call them lazy or behind. You'd tell them they were doing their best in a hard stretch. That is also true when it's you.

A daily plan works through the bank without repeating, so nobody receives the same message twice until they've seen them all. Read all 64 of them.

Questions people ask

Will they find out it was me?
No. The email carries no name, no reply address that maps back to you, and nothing in the footer identifies the sender. If you want them to know, you have to tell them yourself.
Does the recipient need an account?
Never. They receive an email. There is nothing to sign up for, nothing to install, and one link at the bottom that stops the messages permanently.
Who writes the messages?
We do. Every message in the bank is written and edited by hand to be specific, warm, and true of a stranger — recognition rather than flattery. Nothing generic, nothing that reads like a fortune cookie.
Can I send to more than one person?
Yes. Run as many daily plans as you like, each with its own recipient and tone. They're listed separately in your dashboard and cancelled separately.
How do I cancel a daily plan?
One click in your dashboard, or through the Stripe billing portal. You keep the days you've already paid for, and you're never charged again.
What if someone doesn't want these?
Every message has a one-click opt-out. The moment someone uses it we stop sending to that address — from you or from anyone else — and we tell you so you can cancel.

Someone you know is having a harder week than they've said

It costs a dollar to do something about it, and they will never know it was you.
